You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch, sit under the Oak Trees or under one of our patios with panaromic views of vineyards and oak trees. A serene, quiet and a peaceful vineyard setting on our 70 acre property with 10 acres of grounds for our guests to enjoy.
History of our Property
The historic estate was built in 1864. Oak Farm Vineyards, located at the end of DeVries Road, was home to William DeVries, a well-regarded historical figure in San Joaquin County. DeVries lived here until his death in 1908.
His ranch was known throughout the San Joaquin Valley as one of the most magnificent and beautiful pieces of property within the state.
DeVries was an enthusiastic lover of trees, particularly of oaks, and on the home ranch he never allowed a tree to be cut unless it was a menace.
Today, many of the property’s enormous oaks still stand and 60 acres of our estate vineyards are harvested each year, but it’s the entertainment accommodations that are worth the short ten-minute drive from Lodi. In the mid 1990's, our vines were planted where we proudly grow Lodi Zinfandel.
The property has been largely renovated with great attention to its heritage. Oak Farm Vineyards has an oasis in the country and our guests will appreciate the trip to experience it.
