GREAT LAWN
The large lawn beside the colonial-style house is ideal for an outdoor event where guests will be treated to lake or vineyard views, depending on how you want it set up.
For an outdoor wedding ceremony each bridal party member can make their ceremony appearance through an arched hedge leading to the large lawn area punctuated by a lone oak tree. A portable white arbor is also available for the ceremony.
Following the vows and first kiss, your guests can stroll along a rock path at the back of the property. On their way to the barn for the reception they’ll pass the small lake teeming in the spring with cranes and ducks, and a rose garden flooded with color.
BRIDAL HOUSE
No need to get ready somewhere else. Brides and their bridesmaids can take their time preparing on site in their own private building. Inside, there are two restrooms, mirrors and a comfortable couch.
RUSTIC BARN
The property’s original barn can accommodate two hundred fifty seated guests. Wrought iron chairs and large round tables are provided, and the lightly hued concrete floor serves as a dance floor.
The rustic room’s mood lighting is set by wall sconces proving just a puddle of light where it is needed and by tiny white strings hung in the rafters. Ceiling fans keep the room cool, and modern restrooms decorated with crisp white bead board are on site.
Enjoy cocktails at an adjacent granite-topped bar. In the same room, there is space enough for your catered buffet or a wedding cake table.
FRONT LAWN
The residence, the DeVries family’s original farmhouse, can play backdrop to smaller cocktail-style parties. The lawn in front of the house is quite a bit smaller than the great lawn in the back, but there is standing room for one hundred fifty to two hundred guests. The manicured lawn is lined by green hedges and rosebushes, and is perfect for an outdoor wine-tasting party.
